The Struggle is Real

At last, we start to publish Season 03. It’s taken a long time. Jelly Trumpet is a side hustle for all of us.

Why does it take so long?

Writing: each episode had 8 drafts. Total writing time each episode: 14 hours average

Recording: The whole season, 10 episodes took 16 hours to record

Editing: assemble (in Logic), mix, master: 20 hours every episode (inc. rough cut and final mix)

Marketing: publish to website, create soundbites, create social post images, write copy, publish to podcast platform and ads for Instagram: 3 hours per episode

Making it Happen

Anything you love to do takes graft. We all have full time jobs so all of the above takes place at weekends and outside office hours. We’re feeling good with our efforts and wish you some fun and laughs when you listen.

In episode one titled ‘Millennial Headache’, Jim has caught avery nasty virus and has stopped writing Jelly Trumpet scripts. Mr b and the Queen desperately struggle to save Jim from the virus so he may write them and the podcast back into existence. Will Jim ever write again?!

Season 04

We’re not going to stop! Season 04, 11 episodes has been written and we intend to start recording in the next few weeks. The idea being we can follow up Season 03 quicker than before, so, I’d better get writing season 05 
